Tel 01624 685950 Mr Ian Piercy 127 Royal Avenue Onchan IM3 1LD TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING ACT 1999 The Town and Country Planning (Development Procedure) Order 2019 In pursuance of powers granted under the above Act, and subordinate Orders and Regulations, the Department of Environment, Food and Agriculture determined to REFUSE an application by Mr Ian Piercy, Ref 24/90901/B, for the Demolition of building (retrospective) at 11-12 West Quay Ramsey Isle Of Man IM8 1DW for the following reason(s): 1. The demolition of a this historic building within the Ramsey Conservation area and the proposal to leave the site derelict would not be seen to preserve or enhance the character of the conservation area and would be contrary to Sp4a, EP35 and EP39 of the IoM Strategic Plan and also SECTION 18(4) of the Town and Country Act (1999). This decision refers only to that applied for under the Town and Country Planning Act 1999 and its subordinate legislation. A copy of the Officer’s report and any correspondence which led to the assessment and decision is available to view at gov.im/viewapplications A determination to refuse planning approval does not have effect - if an appeal is submitted until the appeal is determined or withdrawn; or if no appeal is submitted, until the time within which an appeal may be submitted has expired (21 days from the date of this notice).
