General Policy 2
GP2 permits development in accordance with land-use zoning in the Area Plan if it respects the site and surroundings in terms of siting, layout, scale, form, design and does not adversely affect visual amenities or locality character (among other tests). The officer focused on element (b): potential impact upon visual amenities, finding the replacement cladding and roofing acceptable as it represents a visual improvement with no height increase or change to size/scale of the gantry in an industrial area.
Time limit
The development hereby approved shall be begun before the expiration of four years from the date of this decision notice. Reason: To comply with Article 26 of the Town and Country Planning (Development Procedure) Order 2019 and to avoid the accumulation of unimplemented planning approvals.
