Comments on behalf of the Ecosystem Policy Team
Though the original Proposed Site Plans submitted with PA 24/91418/B stated that native planting was to be undertaken on site, the submitted landscaping plans show almost entirely non-native planting but, due to the location of the property, the Ecosystem Policy Team do not believe that native planting is require here.
However, Cotoneaster franchetii should be removed from the planting plans as this is a non-native invasive plant species listed on Schedule 8 of the Wildlife Act 1990. We also recommend that Olearia macrodonta is removed from the planting list.
