The applicant runs a livery yard at Ballakillowey Farm and currently have 9 horses on livery in 9 stables. The announcement of a recent outbreak of infectious diseases in the Northwest of the UK, prompted an urgent requirement and need for isolation facilities. They travel extensively to the UK to complete with 2 horses and currently when they return to the Island they have nowhere to isolate the horses. The stables are not visible to the public from Ballakillowey Road.
