This application has been recommended for approval for the following reason. In this instance of the submitted documentation, it is deemed sufficient to achieve the desired outcome and would be considered satisfactory for the planning conditions 3 of application 24/00277/B, under the understanding that the development shall not be carried out unless in accordance with the approved details.

This decision hereby approved relates to documents and drawings submitted to the Department titled: APPLICATION FORM, IOM_09 EAST KIMMERAGH MOBILE SITE PLANNING CONDITION 3 DISCHARGE and IOM_09 BRIDE GF ISSUE D 11.03.24 - SITE PLAN all recorded as being electronically received on 17.06.2025 and 27.10.2025 __
Officer’s Report
1.0 Description 1.1 The proposed application 24/00277/B for the Installation of a 10 meter slimline lattice with multiple mobile panel antennas/dishes/radio kit with associated ground equipment cabinets and boundary fence was approved on 10.05.2024, subject to 8 conditions, some of which required submission of additional information prior to the commencement of works.
1.2 This report is specific to Condition (3) which the applicants are seeking to satisfy.
The specific wording of the condition is as follows:
(3) The development hereby approved shall not commence until further details of the antennas, dishes and remote radio heads to be installed have been submitted to and approved in writing by the Department. The development shall not be carried out unless in accordance with the approved details and shall be retained as such thereafter unless a variation or alteration is permitted under Schedule 2 of the Town and Country Planning (Telecommunications) Development Order 2019 (or any alteration/replacement of that order).

25/10087/AIR Reason: To ensure appropriate use of the mast for telecommunication equipment.
2.0 Proposal 2.1 The applicants have submitted detailed plans and specification sheets which provide information for each piece of equipment to be installed along with a duly completed AIRC form on the 17.06.2025.
2.2 Below is the confirmed equipment to be installed on the new structure as per the planning application, this has been split into Antennas / Remote Radio Heads (RRH) / Microwave Dishes.
2.2.1 Passive Antennas: o Size & Model: (2m) Ericsson 800372965 o Quantity on Structure: 2 o Height/Azimuth: As per site drawings
Active Antenna (AAU): o Model: N/A o Quantity on Structure: N/A o Height/Azimuth: N/A
Low Band Radio: o Model: Ericsson 4486 o Quantity on Structure: 2 o Height/Azimuth: As per site drawings
High Band Radio: o Model: Ericsson 4490 o Quantity on Structure: 2 o Height/Azimuth: As per site drawings
o DISH 1 o Model: VHLP2 o Height/Azimuth: As per site drawings
2.3 The detailed plans and drawings that have been provided show exactly what is proposed as part of the application including monopole heights, cabinets, metres and fencing.
3.0 Assessment 3.1 The proposed details, specifications and trade literature of the antennas, dishes and remote radio heads to be installed have been supplied noting the manufacturer's details, product references with their technical details on bandwidths and dimensions of the equipment to be installed to the mast. The specification sheets / trade literature from the equipment manufacturer 'Ericson' clearly demonstrates the equipment uses are primary for telephone voice and data transmission across their various frequency ranges. The overall number of communication devices to be installed and their positionings to the mast has not altered since the approval and the dimensions of the telecommunication equipment closely correlates to what was indicated on the approved drawings and would be acceptable to satisfy the requirements of this condition.
4.0 Recommendation 4.1 In this instance, the submitted documentation is deemed sufficient to achieve the desired outcome and would be considered satisfactory for planning condition 3 of this
