General Policy 2 (b), (c), (g), (h), (k) of the Isle of Man Strategic Plan 2016 is materially relevant. The officer assessed the proposal against it, finding compliance as the parking has no negative impact on the substation's operation or the area's character, with the principle acceptable for utility operations and no adverse effects on visual amenities or highways.
Time limit
The development hereby approved shall be begun before the expiration of four years from the date of this decision notice. Reason: To comply with Article 26 of the Town and Country Planning (Development Procedure) Order 2019 and to avoid the accumulation of unimplemented planning approvals.
Use restriction
This approval is only related to the parking and storage of vehicles by or on behalf of Manx Utilities only. Reason: the impact assessment is based on the planning statement and the principle is only acceptable because of it.
