Hello,
From the Planning List 28 Jun 2024 and excluding planning applications with suffix ‘CON’ and re-consultations, the following new planning applications have highway related impacts and will be subject to a separate response:
• 24/00679/A • 24/00690/B • 24/00717/D • 24/00722/B
The following planning applications have no significant negative impact upon the highway network in terms of highway safety, highway operation and car parking. Highway Services HDC does not oppose (DNO) the following applications. Advisory comments are applied where relevant, such as for licences to use the highway for equipment and material during works:
• 24/00591/B – After reviewing this Application, Highway Services HDC finds it to have no significant negative impact upon highway safety, network functionality and/or parking as the proposed access is acceptable for the relatively small nature of the proposals and the considered low flow rural nature of Maughold Road in which the site accesses. Conditions should include the proposed access, vehicle hardstanding, grasscrete and parking layout shown on the approved plans to be implemented before first occupation and retained thereafter. The Applicant should consider an EV charging point for visitors to aid Net Zero ambitions. • 24/00665/B – After reviewing this Application, Highway Services HDC finds it to have no significant negative impact upon highway safety, network functionality and/or parking as there will be suitable remaining service yead available for large vehicles to maneuverer into/out of the site safely. • 24/00667/C – After reviewing this Application, Highway Services HDC finds it to have no significant negative impact upon highway safety, network functionality and/or parking as the existing access situation is acceptable for the proposals. The Applicant should consider an EV charging point for visitors to aid Net Zero ambitions. • 24/00683/B – After reviewing this Application, Highway Services HDC finds it to have no significant negative impact upon highway safety, network functionality and/or parking as the existing access and local road network is acceptable for the proposals, providing it stays as private use via condition. • 24/00691/B – After reviewing this Application, Highway Services HDC finds it to have no significant negative impact upon highway safety, network functionality and/or parking. • 24/00693/B – After reviewing this Application, Highway Services HDC finds it to have no significant negative impact upon highway safety, network functionality and/or parking providing the building remains ancillary to the existing property on the site. • 24/00696/B – After reviewing this Application, Highway Services HDC finds it to have no significant negative impact upon highway safety, network functionality and/or parking as the existing driveway retained is acceptable to park two cars.

• 24/00705/B – After reviewing this Application, Highway Services HDC finds it to have no significant negative impact upon highway safety, network functionality and/or parking. • 24/00718/A – After reviewing this Application, Highway Services HDC finds it to have no significant negative impact upon highway safety, network functionality and/or parking as the site can provide parking and access suitable for the proposals. Please note the garage on the plans is not large enough to store vehicles, but there is a parking area in front to sufficiently park vehicles adequately. Reserved matters should include the vehicle access details (taking into account the parking on Paddocks Lane in front of the site), parking layout and bin store area.
Highway Services HDC has no interest (NHI) in:
• 24/00542/B • 24/00581/B • 24/00648/B • 24/00699/B • 24/00700/B • 24/00702/D • 24/00706/B • 24/00714/B • 24/00719/B • 24/00720/B
Kind Regards,
