Hello,
From the Planning List 5 Jul 2024 and excluding planning applications with suffix ‘CON’ and re-consultations, the following new planning applications have highway related impacts and will be subject to a separate response:
• 24/00692/GB • 24/00713/A
The following planning applications have no significant negative impact upon the highway network in terms of highway safety, highway operation and car parking. Highway Services HDC does not oppose (DNO) the following applications. Advisory comments are applied where relevant, such as for licences to use the highway for equipment and material during works:
• 24/00708/B - After reviewing this Application, Highway Services HDC finds it to have no significant negative impact upon highway safety, network functionality and/or parking as the access visibility is acceptable for the proposals, providing the proposals remain ancillary to the existing dwelling on the site due to the single track nature of the access and driveway, and its residential and agricultural uses. • 24/00709/B - After reviewing this Application, Highway Services HDC finds it to have no significant negative impact upon highway safety, network functionality and/or parking as the proposals is a replacement for the removed agricultural building on the land and continues to have the same accesses internally and onto the highway network as existing. • 24/00710/B - After reviewing this Application, Highway Services HDC finds it to have no significant negative impact upon highway safety, network functionality and/or parking. • 24/00729/B - After reviewing this Application, Highway Services HDC finds it to have no significant negative impact upon highway safety, network functionality and/or parking as the site is in a sustainable location in Port Erin centre. • 24/00731/B - After reviewing this Application, Highway Services HDC finds it to have no significant negative impact upon highway safety, network functionality and/or parking as the existing access design is acceptable for the increase in operations that the proposed extension will bring, and will allow further agricultural activities to remain on the land rather than travelling to other sites to store animals, materials and machinery etc. as needed. • 24/00732/B - After reviewing this Application, Highway Services HDC finds it to have no significant negative impact upon highway safety, network functionality and/or parking as the proposals are a relatively small increase in operation, providing the proposals are for private use only i.e. not public or commercial use, due to the single track nature of the access and driveway. • 24/00735/C - After reviewing this Application, Highway Services HDC finds it to have no significant negative impact upon highway safety, network functionality and/or parking as the proposals would have a similar or less access and parking demand to the existing situation. The Applicant is advised to consider providing a EV charging point for visitors of the proposals to aid the Island’s net zero ambitions.
