RE: PA 24/10048/AIR - Information in relation to condition 2 for PA 23/01363/B - Soft landscaping and boundary information for the plot west of Fenella Villa, Peel.
The intention for the request of condition 2, was to ensure that ecological mitigation was put in place for the removal of hedges to facilitate the new development. However, the landscape plan that has been provided, if anything, shows that even more hedge is to be removed than originally thought.
The Landscape drawing shows an example mixed hedge in the south of the site but a hedge already exists in this location and so it is not new. The Landscaping Notes also reference planting to the side boundaries but this is not shown on the drawing, and again there is already existing hedging so it is not clear what is to remain and what new landscaping is to be provided.
The Ecosystem Policy Team are not satisfied with the information provided.
Best wishes
Sophie
