From the Planning List 3 May 2024 and excluding planning applications with suffix ‘CON’ and re- consultations, the following new planning applications have highway related impacts and will be subject to a separate response:

The following planning applications have no significant negative impact upon the highway network in terms of highway safety, highway operation and car parking. Highway Services HDC does not oppose (DNO) the following applications. Advisory comments are applied where relevant, such as for licences to use the highway for equipment and material during works:

ꞏ 24/00410/C - After reviewing this Application, Highway Services HDC finds it to have no significant negative impact upon highway safety, network functionality and/or parking, as the site is in a central Douglas location within a parade of shops suitable for the proposed operation.

ꞏ 24/00430/B - After reviewing this Application, Highway Services HDC finds it to have no significant negative impact upon highway safety, network functionality and/or parking, as the applicant proposes to widen the driveway to provide at least two-off-street spaces for the proposals.

ꞏ 24/00474/B - After reviewing this Application, Highway Services HDC finds it to have no significant negative impact upon highway safety, network functionality and/or parking, as the site layout, access design and access visibility is acceptable for the proposals and should be conditioned before first occupation, subject to the visibility splay having no objections greater than 1m in height within the splay zone. A S109 highway agreement will be required for the widened vehicular access tie-in onto the public highway and extended dropped kerb.

ꞏ 24/00476/B - After reviewing this Application, Highway Services HDC finds it to have no significant negative impact upon highway safety, network functionality and/or parking, as the site is in a sustainable location in Ramsey Centre and the proposals would have a similar traffic generation as existing.

2 ꞏ 24/00478/C - After reviewing this Application, Highway Services HDC finds it to have no significant negative impact upon highway safety, network functionality and/or parking,, as the site is in central Douglas and has available off-street parking to the rear of the proposals.

ꞏ 24/00486/B - After reviewing this Application, Highway Services HDC finds it to have no significant negative impact upon highway safety, network functionality and/or parking.

ꞏ 24/00493/B - After reviewing this Application, Highway Services HDC finds it to have no significant negative impact upon highway safety, network functionality and/or parking, as the site layout and access onto the public highway is acceptable for the proposals.

ꞏ 24/00494/C - After reviewing this Application, Highway Services HDC finds it to have no significant negative impact upon highway safety, network functionality and/or parking, as the proposed operation is relatively small including the building size, there is parking provision for the fellowship within the site, and the proposals sit within an industrial area where the normal operating hours of the applicant are outside the normal industrial area activity/parking demand hours.

ꞏ 24/00496/A - After reviewing this Application, Highway Services HDC finds it to have no significant negative impact upon highway safety, network functionality and/or parking, providing the use remains ancillary to the existing building on the site and for private personal use only.

ꞏ 24/00500/B - After reviewing this Application, Highway Services HDC finds it to have no significant negative impact upon highway safety, network functionality and/or parking, providing the proposals remain ancillary to the existing building on the site.

ꞏ 24/00502/B - After reviewing this Application, Highway Services HDC finds it to have no significant negative impact upon highway safety, network functionality and/or parking, as although the access visibility is constrained, the benefits of having off-street parking in this high parking demand/short parking supply area outweighs the restricted access visibility. Occupiers of the off road parking can slowly edge out onto Victoria Place to get a better view when exiting on this road which experiences relatively slow speed traffic.
