Timber stud frame to be constructed off site and lifted
onto site. All off the new 102mm single block leaf below.
Build out to first floor frame wall to comprise Read
Structural engineers details for new timber frame
wall panel drawing number 8550-001. First floor timber
panel as indicated to be constructed off site to be craned
into place. Timber Frame to consist of 50 x 150mm C24
treated timber frame faced with 12mm plywood as
engineers drawing. Internally place 50mm “Kingspan
Kooltherm K12”, or similar approved, ridged insulation
board set tight between the vertical studding with vapour
control layer and 12.5mm gyproc foil backed
plasterboard. Externally provide 25x50mm treated timber
batten set vertically with proctor facade shield and
“Eternit” composite cladding system set horizontally in
accordance with the manufacturers installation
specification.

New natural slate on 50 x 25mm softwood tanalised
timber battens on “Proctor Roofshield” or similar
approved, air & vapour permeable underlay roofing
membrane on new 50x150mm treated timber rafters set
at 400mm ctrs Fit 100mm “Kingspan Kooltherm K7” rigid
insulation board, or similar approved, to be laid between
ceiling joists with clear 50mm ventilation space between
top of new insulation board and the underside of the
breathable roof membrane. Underdraw roomside with an
additional 50mm Kingspan Kooltherm K7 layer with
ceiling to be finished with approved “Proctor” vapour
control barrier and 12.5mm plasterboard with scrim and
plaster skim finish. 75 x 150mm softwood tanalised
timber wall plate to be strapped down to top of walls
using 30 x 5mm galvanised steel restraint straps,
1500mm long and fixed at 1200mm ctrs. Rafters to be
fixed to wall plates using galvanised steel truss clips, or
similar approved.

New 100mm dense concrete blockwork set
70mm and 30mm (as plan) respectively off the
existing boundary walls to allow no moisture
bridging across to new masonry wall.. Internal
leave 25mm clear space with 100x50mm
treated timber wall lining with 50mm “Kingspan
Kooltherm K12”, or similar approved, ridged
insulation board set tight between the vertical
studding with vapour control layer and 12.5mm
gyproc foil backed plasterboard. Sole plates off
dpc and slab dpc taken up and tucked into the
external blockwork.
