General Policy 2
GP2 requires development to respect visual acceptability. The parent approval complied only with GP2. Approved changes like stone cladding respected the varied streetscene with mixed render/stone; south west windows and other features caused no adverse visual harm. Refused canopy would introduce a first-of-its-kind size/style harming streetscene character; north east window's visual/amenity impact on blank elevation unknown.
Private individuals (objectors) have submitted objections to the minor changes application 20/00151/MCH, raising concerns about discrepancies in drawings, building size, height, overlooking, and impacts on neighbours compared to the original approval PA 16/00681/B.
Key concern: discrepancies between application drawings/site plans and original approved PA 16/00681/B drawings

ObjectionThe minor amendments application is extremely concerning, there appear to be discrepancies between the application drawings and the approved drawings; The new building projects approximately 450mm past the rear wall of the neighbouring property; we have decided that the objection I submitted to planning application 20/00151/MCH should be retained; works on the site should be halted until all of these matters are resolved
Conditions requested: halt works on site until all matters resolved; review site plans against approved PA 16/00681/B and confirm they are unaltered

ObjectionThe drawings submitted do not appear to correlate with the approved drawings; The building appears to extend approx. 450mm further back than the neighbouring building; The height of the new building appears to cause serious overlooking to the rear of Victoria Road properties
