Application for a Certificate of Lawful Use of Development
68 Derby Road, Douglas Applicant: Dean Barton
The property was purchased by myself, Dean Barton (the Applicant), in 2005. That year I applied for the front door to be replaced as the property next door had a PVC door installed. The application was refused. I instructed the company Amazing Glazing who said they would re-apply for the permission. A few months later Amazing Glazing contacted me to say they were ready to fit the door so it was my understanding that the permission they said they would obtain had been granted. The door was fitted that year in 2005, 14 years ago. Amazing Glazing has now been dissolved.
The PVC windows were already in situ when I purchased the property in 2005, so they had been fitted prior to that date which would have been 14+ years ago.
There is a photograph on Google Earth dated 2010 showing the property and the PVC windows and door in place.
