Hi Sarah,
Further to our conversation this morning, this email confirms that I have concerns about extending the footprint of these houses further northwards than has already been approved.
This is because it would bring the houses closer to the trees along the western boundary and northern corner and increase the risk of conflict occurring due to complaints about shade, perception of (or actual) risk, and the overbearing nature of the trees. This conflict could lead to future pressure to remove the trees.
The existing approval is not ideal but this application would, I propose, make the situation worse. The footprint of these properties should, therefore, not extend further northwards than the existing approval (18/00995/REM).
