Multiple local residents and statutory consultees objected to the application primarily due to inadequate parking and increased traffic in a congested residential area; Highways recommended refusal and Peel Town Commissioners opposed the proposal.
Key concern: inadequate parking provision leading to highway safety risks and obstruction
Highway Services Division
ObjectionRefusal is therefore recommended on the grounds that the development cannot provide adequate parking for the proposed use being contrary to GP2 and CP6 of the Isle of Man Strategic Plan 2016.

ObjectionTo sum up, we do not have a problem with a small microblading business being set up at 17 North View. It is the intended opening hours, the complete lack of any off road parking and the possibility of future expansion that we are particularly concerned about.
Conditions requested: business should provide a minimum of two additional off road parking spaces for clients
Mr Robert Ryding (5 Links Close)
ObjectionAdditional on-street parking would therefore be catastrophic, and would severely restrict, if not block, the movement of residents and service vehicles, as well as being unsightly.
Resident (50 North View)
ObjectionMy objection is based purely on the lack of parking.
