The above application was placed before the Council's Environmental Services Committee at a meeting held on 19^{\text {th }} November 2018. Following consideration of the application the Committee resolved that Douglas Borough Council objects to the proposals. The reason for the objection is as follows.
In reaching this decision the Committee raised concerns about the lack of local guidance in relation to off street parking within conservation areas. We ask that the Planning Committee consider issuing guidance in relation to off street parking in conservation areas with a particular view on the potential need for homeowners to charge electric vehicles.
