Tel 01624 685950 Mr T Craine Tiree 28 Victoria Road Castletown TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING ACT 1999 The Town and Country Planning (Development Procedure)(No 2) Order 2013 In pursuance of powers granted under the above Act and Order the Department of Environment, Food and Agriculture determined to REFUSE an application by Mr David Peters, Ref 19/00643/A, for the Approval in principle for the erection of a dwelling at Agricultural Building To Rear Of Vaaish Mooar Farm Staarvey Road Peel Isle Of Man for the following reason(s): 1. The site is not designated for development and has no residential status. The replacement of agricultural buildings does not comply with the provisions for the redevelopment of previously developed land and the proposal does not otherwise comply with any of the other provisions for the creation of dwellings in the countryside. As such and notwithstanding the fact that the proposed replacement dwelling could have a reduced and more beneficial visual impact on the landscape, the development represents the creation of a dwelling in an unsustainable location, contrary to General Policy 3, Housing Policy 4, the Strategic Aim and Strategic Policies 1 and 2 of the Strategic Plan 2016.
