RE - PA 18/01268/C, Fields 534017 & 534018, Onchan
Though not an objection, I would like it noted that these fields run along the eastern edge of Summerhill Wetlands Wildlife Site.
Wildlife sites, though not statutorily designated or recognised by law, are nonetheless sites of high wildlife value and should be recognised through the planning system.
It seems the planning area slightly intrudes into the Wildlife Site Area (area circled in blue on the attached map) however the supporting documents show that the access areas and camping squares are located away from the very western edge of the site and therefore this shouldn't be an issue.
I also note that there is a lack of access area in the south west of the lower field (see area circled in green on the below image). If a bigger access area is required it should not intrude into the wildlife site.
