PA Form 2.1(i)
Sandygate Farm Shop Previously known as Cleators Farm Shop has being operating since 2012. I took over the business in september 2017, from Mr and Mrs Cleator, who are not able to run the business although it is still situated on the farm/land. As well as buying from local producers, I have also grown fruit and veg in a field which I rent from the land owners. I also have a field close by to which I am growing most of my veg and soft fruits.
When I took over the shop I believe that planning permission was not required for the shop due to the length of time its been there. When the second shed was built to my knowledge is the same size as the farm shop which is not a fixed its sitting on skids and which can be removed at any time I thought I didn't need Planning permission.
Now I am fully aware of what is required, I am submitting this planning permission. I would like to draw to your attention to the service I provide to the local community which is now going Island wide and the excellent reputation Sandygate farm shop now enjoys.
I would like to expand on the success of my business and beable to meet the demands of the customers needs.
There isn't many services at Jurby providing locally need demonstrated by the number of returning customers Island wide.
The excisting Shed I would keep for Fresh farm produce eg all veg and what I class as dirty. In the new shed I am applying for permission is to hold specialist produce and to which I call clean stock eg Eggs, cakes, jams, jellies, Pickles,Preserves and soft fruit.
I very much would appreciate your support in my adventure of a small local business.
