Description: Erection of 10 cycle bike shelter for staff use as part of active travel.
Highway Comments:
The proposals represent a proactive approach to reducing traffic / congestion associated with the traffic generation form the school. Reducing car borne travel will also assist in reducing overall parking demand particularly on the streets that surround the school.
The proposals also encourage and promote cycling as part of the school's travel plan.
Furthermore, the cycle shelter further supports the recently launched Active Travel Strategy on the Island being exemplar to other schools.
As a result, the proposals are considered acceptable
