Caution: This email is from an external sender. Please take care before opening any attachments or following any links.
Dear Sirs, Please find attached the Peel Town Commissioners response to the following planning application. The Commissioners do not oppose the proposals contained within these applications subject to any conditions stipulated below:
The Commissioners opposed the following applications for the reason stated: 19/00331/B Construction of layby at Grace Baptist Church, Market Street, Peel because it would remove a large section of walling within the conservation area. The Commissioners note a narrow driveway entrance could replace the pedestrian gateway to provide access for one vehicle and pedestrians to the concrete apron at the front of the Church. A pedestrian access to the Commissioners' car park at the rear of the Church was considered and refused by the Commissioners because it would require the removal of car parking spaces and result in the formation of a new permanent access to the Church from Commissioners land. 19/00548/B Change of Use for Small Business at 17 North View, Peel because there is inadequate parking available to support this development proposal in a residential area where parking is congested after 5 pm in the evening and at weekends. 19/00653/B Construction of storage unit at Sunny Bank, Peveril Road, Peel because the development proposal removes the off street parking and will place reliance on the garages which could already be used as undercover storage. It should be noted there is insufficient space in front of the garages to park a vehicle without encroaching onto the public highway footway. This will result in additional parking Peveril Road which is a main traffic route into Peel.
Should you require any further information please do not hesitate to contact me. Yours faithfully Derek Sewell Town Clerk
