Description: Creation of a temporary works compound to be used for the Douglas Promenade Refurbishment

Highway Comments: The existing site access, which would be wide enough for two-way car traffic, would be used for the proposed site compound area which would be fenced off securely. The applicant estimates that there would be an average of 12 vehicle movements per day which would not create a significant highway impact. Due to the low level of vehicle movements it is unlikely two large vehicles would need to enter and leave the site at the same time.

The application states there would be a maximum of 15 staff at the site at any given time, and 10 car parking spaces would be provided which should be sufficient particularly as the plan shows additional room on the site for any surplus parking demand. The proposals should therefore not create any new highway issues.
