THIS APPLICATION HAS BEEN INSTIGATED DUE TO THE RELUCTANCE OF THE DOI HIGHWAYS INSPECTORATE TO EXTEND THE DOUBLE YELLOW LINES OPPOSITE TO REACH THE RESERVED SPACE. THIS RECENT CHANGE TO THE PARKING RESTRICTIONS AND THE PROVISION OF THE RESERVED PARKING SPACE HAS CREATED A SITUATION WHERE THE APPLICATION SITE IS NOT EASILY ACCESSIBLE DUE TO VEHICLES PARKED OPPOSITE ON THE RESERVED SPACE AND ALSO ON THE UNRESTRICTED SPACE BETWEEN THE RESERVED SPACE AND THE END OF THE DOUBLE YELLOW LINES. PLEASE NOTE THAT THE UNRESTRICTED GAP DOES NOT ACTUALLY MEET MIN PARKING DIMENSION. WE NOTE THE APPLICANT HAS CONSULTED DIRECTLY WITH THE DOI TO REQUEST EXTENDING THE YELLOW LINES BUT WITHOUT SUCCESS.
