Officer’s Report
1.0 Description 1.1 The proposed application 22/00254/B for the conversion and extension of nurses' home to provide 37 apartments and cafe with takeaway with associated car, motorcycle and bicycle parking and landscaping was approved on 30/01/2023 subject to 11 conditions some of which required submission of additional information prior to the commencement of works.
1.2 This report is specific to Condition 6 which the applicants are seeking to discharge.
1.3 Specific wording of the condition as follows:
"C6. No external finishes may be applied to the building - including roofs, windows, new brickwork and movement joints - until details and samples of these have been submitted to and approved in writing by the Department. The development shall not be carried out

23/10070/AIR unless in accordance with the approved details unless otherwise agreed with the Department.
Reason: In the interests of the character and appearance of the site and surrounding area."
2.0 Proposal 2.1 The applicant's agent have now submitted an application for the discharge of condition 6 and IOM-EWA-ZZ-ZZ-DR-A-10550P LANNING Condition Discharge 6 P1 which shows the elevations of the proposed build with details of where the included images of the external finish samples will be placed. Details include roofing, windows, new brickwork, vents and movement joints.
3.0 Recommendation 3.1 In this instance of the submitted application and drawings showing proposed external finishes and after consultation with the case officer, who are happy with the level of detail, it is deemed sufficient to achieve the desired outcome and would be satisfactory to discharge the planning condition 6 of application 22/00254/B.
