SATISFACTION OF CONDITION 2 and 3
DESCRIPTION 1.1 Application 22/01156/CON was permitted via delegated powers on 8th December 2022 subject to five conditions. Conditions two and three required the following:
"2. Details of Works to Registered Building No works shall take place until details of the following items, to include plans, elevations and sections at a scale of no greater than (1:20) or have been submitted to and approved in writing by, the Department:
a) Balustrade to Mezzanine The works shall not be carried out unless in accordance with the approved details.
Reason: To ensure the satisfactory preservation of this registered building." "3. Sample materials

23/10015/AIR No development shall commence until a schedule of materials, finishes and samples of the materials to be used in the following have been submitted to and approved in writing by the Department:
a) Proposed balustrade to mezzanine The works shall not be carried out unless in accordance with the approved details.
Reason: In the interests of the character and appearance of the site and surrounding area."
PROPOSAL 2.1 The agent on behalf of the applicant has submitted details and samples of the balustrade to the mezzanine.
ANALYSIS 3.1 The drawing and sample submitted in respect of the conditions is considered to show an appropriate contemporary detail that will contrast but complement the registered building and will therefore preserve its character and a building of special interest.

I can confirm that this decision has been made by a Principal Planner in accordance with the authority afforded to that Officer by the appropriate DEFA Delegation and that in making this decision the Officer has agreed the recommendation in relation to who should be afforded Interested Person Status.
