Change proposed
Change of Unit 4 single pedestrian
access door to a double pedestrian
access door.
Reasoning
- Allows for smaller delivery items
including pallet deliveries to arrive to the
Unit 4 without the larger roller shutter
door needing to be opened every time.
- Prospective users have raised security
as high importance due to the nature of
use.
- Roller shutters take time to open and
close. Unit 4 has the largest door and
runs the highest risk of remaining open
during use.
- Not needing to open the roller shutter
regularly allows for greater heat
retention internally which is important
for some prospective users.
- The double pedestrian door can have
a self closing system fitted to maximise
security.
- The door will be finished and match
the other doors barring be wider.
- This proposal does not detract away
from the overall building or approval and
is deemed suitable for a minor change
application.
