The new walls to the extension are to be in cavity masonry construction faced externally with a natural wood cladding in cedar or larch set vertically. ROOF: The existing cottage roof is to have the asbestos cement tile removed and a new natural slate roof (reclaimed if possible) to the roof areas indicated. The proposed extension is to have a metseam metal standing seam roof in natural matt zinc with matching eaves and guttering systems. WINDOWS/DOORS: The replacement windows to the existing cottage are to be in hardwood timber painted in a similar style to the current. New windows and doors to the proposed contemporary element to be in either aluminimum or upvc. All fitted with double glazed units RAINWATER GOODS: to existing cottage to be in black metal to replicate the existing. To the extension to be in matching zinc to match the roof.
