The comment stated;
The applicant would appear to have little knowledge of their property when comparing doors with those in the adjoining street which was developed on a different estate at a different period in time. Eastfield was laid out to the designs of Raby the architect for Laughton the Advocate (later High Bailiff of Peel). The terrace is subject to covenants relative to railings, verhanda etc. The door to No 7 would appear from the photograph to be the original door and should be retained. Whilst other doors in the terrace may have been replaced in the past it is important to stem the flow of inappropriate styles, especially when the original door has survived. We object to the application.
