The proposals represent an increase in child spaces without
any increase in car parking.
From site visits, there appears to be a reduction of spaces that
have been taken up by a child play area.
In most cases, an increase in child numbers will lead to an
increase in car borne journeys and therefore an increase in
parking demand.
Concerns are raised over the increased likelihood of parents
parking their cars in areas that may cause obstruction to other
road users accessing the commercial site to the rear and or on
Peel Road itself.
There is no supporting evidence in the form of surveys taken
that shows the parking provision as shown is adeqaute to
accommodate the parking demand.
I await fruther details prior to final comments.
