The application is to change the use of a hairdressers
into a French Restaurant with staff accommodation
above.
This will no doubt create additional demand for parking
within Douglas town centre.
However, given the central location of the site and the
availability of 1 parking space to the rear for those that
live above the restaurant, the prooslas are considered
acceptable.
The car parking space allocated to the rear of the
building will remain solely for the residents of the
upsatirs flat and remain free from obstruction thereafter.
Reason: To ensure that the strategic plan car parking
standards are met in the interest of highway safety.
