Great Meadow Lodge is part of a large estate on Malew Road, situated between Castletown and Ballasalla. Construction work is currently well progressed on the approved scheme (PA 16/00823/8). This is a retrospective planning application for a boiler/plant room and garden store to the lodge.
Proposal
Tucked behind the stone castellated wall fronting onto Malew Road, the boiler/plant room and garden store is clad in matching limestone with a "cock and hen" natural stone capping (alternating vertical and horizontal stones for the final top course)
The form and materials of this modest addition are in keeping with the existing building and subservient to the overall form.
