Light system to comprise multi-tube fluorescent fittings to required standards, units fitted at corner roof level. Average illumination level to be 1000 lux with new tubes. Maintenance access to the units is from outside the booth.
This spraybooth will have a semi down draught diagonally scavenging air movement with the following air flow characteristics:
The spraybooth will have an air handling plant to give a semi down draught diagonally scavenging air input into the spraybooth, this creates a tunnel air movement from the front to the rear of the booth.
The main input plant will incorporate a double inlet centrifugal fan unit, split to feed the input and extract systems. The fan unit has a 400mm impeller and is fitted with a 4.0kW 3 phase motor.
A direct gas fired heater is fitted into the duct system to give a temperature rise availability of 22°C above ambient in the spray cycle. In the bake cycle the air will recirculate through the heating system to optimise fuel costs and give a bake temperature of 80°C Automatic control dampers are fitted into the system for switching between spray and bake mode.
| Nominal Air Capacity | 10,000 m³/Hr |
| Air change rate in an empty booth | 3.0 - Per Minute |
| Air change rate loaded with a family saloon | 4.0 - Per Minute |
| Tunnel air velocity in an empty booth | 0.4 m/sec |
| Tunnel air velocity loaded with a family saloon | 0.57 m/sec |
| Spray temperature rise availability above ambient | 22°C |
| Bake temperature with recirculation | 80°C |
| Heater Output Capacity | 145 kW (500,000 BTU’s / Hr) |
| Filter area of EU5 input filters | 6.0 m² |
| Air speed through input filters | 0.44 m/sec |
| Filter area of EU2 & EU3 extract filters | 3.6 m x 1m |
| Air speed through extract filters | 0.8 m/sec |
Air from atmosphere will enter the duct system and be heated to the required temperature, it will then enter the booth via a front ceiling plenum chamber. Air will diffuse into the booth through an EU5 fine filter media.
The total filter area is 6.5m², the filters are fitted uniformly within the ceiling at the front of the booth into easily accessed hinged frames which trap the filter in position to ensure all air is filtered prior to booth entry.
All the input and extract plant is mounted on the rear chest to maximise available floor space.
Extraction System and Filtration:
Air will be extracted from the booth via an integral extraction chest, located at the rear of the booth. The chest is fitted with a 2 stage dry filtration system (EU3 and EU2 grades). These filters are easily accessible.
The main extraction fan will be as the input unit.
The installed package comes complete with the recirculation system, intake and exhaust ducts, including roof plates, skirts, water ingress damper and an accelerator cone. Ducting would be to the DW144 standard and is in galvanised steel.
Control System:
Comprehensive control panel to be supplied to control the booth giving all necessary functions, indications and readouts for all operations.
The control panel will incorporate the following features:
Warranty Provision
Rowley Spray Booths Offer a 1 year parts and labour warranty on all new installed and commissioned equipment. This warranty is for the supply of new parts or repair of faulty parts, labour and travel costs. The warranty period for the equipment will be for 12 months or 1000 hours of service, whichever is the sooner.
Installation and Commissioning
Electrical wiring will be in plastic conduit and cable trays in accordance with IEE regulations, other wiring standards can be adopted at additional costs.
