General Policy 2
GP2 permits development in accordance with land-use zoning if it respects siting, scale, design, does not harm landscape/townscape character, resident amenities, provides safe access, and avoids road safety issues. The officer found the play equipment additions compliant as they enhance an existing playground without adverse impacts on these aspects in the public open space.
Environment Policy 35
ENV35 requires development in conservation areas to preserve or enhance character and protect special features. The officer determined the proposal would not disturb the Kirk Michael Conservation Area character, as the equipment is appropriately sited in an existing playground.
Time limit
The development hereby approved shall be begun before the expiration of four years from the date of this decision notice. Reason: To comply with article 14 of the Town and Country Planning (Development Procedure) (No2) Order 2013 and to avoid the accumulation of unimplemented planning approvals.
