General Policy 6
Requires advertisements in towns/villages to be high standard design relating well to the building/site, in keeping without detracting from the area, and not causing highway hazards. Officer assessed the glossy black/white signage on the apartment block as meeting these tests in the Mixed Use area, with no safety issues confirmed by Highways.
Environment Policy 35
Permits only development preserving or enhancing Conservation Area character, protecting special features. Officer found the temporary signage would not enhance but also not detract from Onchan Conservation Area's character or features, rendering it acceptable.
Time limit
The development hereby permitted shall commence before the expiration of four years from the date of this notice.
Temporary signage removal
The temporary signage shall be removed from the application site on or before the 1st December 2013.
Approved drawings
This permission relates to the erection of temporary signage as shown in drawings AT-01, AT-02, AT-03 and AT-04 received 6th January 2012.
