Dear Sirs
I write in relation to the above mentioned planning application and proposed extension to 1 Church Close, Church Rd, Lonan, IM4 7JY.
Whilst we do not object to the whole planning application, we do object to the private side entrance to the proposed office/study area. Our objection to the side entrance is based upon our belief that Mr Elliot plans to run his construction business out of the office – why else would he require another study/office area requiring a private entrance. Visiting clients/staff to the said business would increase the traffic in a child friendly residential area and increase the wear and tear on the shared access drive.
We also do have concerns with regards to increased traffic, access and potential damage to the shared drive and/or our property during the construction phase. We have already been inconvenienced by vehicles blocking access to our driveway during the house renovations and would like to be reassured that this will not happen during these building works without at least some prior communication to us.
If the shared drive or our property is in any way damaged or made unreasonably dirty we would expect this to be corrected by the owner of 1 Church Close.
It is important to note that we have young children and whilst we have never had a problem with the speed of our neighbour’s entry/exit from their property via the shared drive, we expect this to be communicated to any contractors etc linked with the building work.
