Tel 01624 685950 Mr Christopher Grose & Miss Susan Bairstow Ginger Cottage Ballamanaugh Road Sulby IM7 3EH TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING ACT 1999 The Town and Country Planning (Development Procedure)(No 2) Order 2013 In pursuance of powers granted under the above Act and Order the Department of Environment, Food and Agriculture determined to REFUSE an application by Mr Christopher Grose & Miss Susan Bairstow, Ref 16/00899/B, for the Erection of an agricultural storage shed (retrospective) at Field 130688 Kella Road Sulby Isle Of Man for the following reason(s): 1. Whilst General Policy 3 and Environment Policy 15 of the Strategic Plan make provision for development which is essential for the conduct of agriculture, it is not considered that there is sufficient agricultural need to set aside the strong policy objection to development in areas not designated for development. 2. The building in terms of its design, layout, appearance and finish are not sympathetic to the landscape of which they form a part being in a countryside location. Accordingly, it is considered the building are contrary to the provisions of Environmental Policy 1 and Environmental Policy 15 of the Strategic Plan. This decision refers only to that applied for under the The Town and Country Planning (Development Procedure)(No 2) Order 2013. Specifically, a valid appeal must be in writing, signed by the appellant, and submitted to the Department within 21 days of the date of this Notice.
