Dear Sirs,
RE : Proposed change of Use to Coffee Shop at 18A – 20
Duke Street, Douglas. Isle of Man. IM1 2LE.
Planning application references 15/01029/GB, 15/01030/CON, 15/01154/GB and 15/01155/CON.
Our clients “Messrs F.G SGOTT LIMITED”, own the two adjacent properties at 47 and 49 Duke Street, (Former Toymaster Shop and The Buttery café) and as such wish to register as interested parties to the above planning applications.
Our clients have concerns about the lack of “on site” space designated for storage of refuse to cater for the development.
In particular, if there is to be any increase in the number of wheelie bins and if their positions would restrict access through the rear service lane.
The outside seating area proposed on the Duke Street side, would impede access for emergency service vehicles through the street, bearing in mind that there is already an approved outside seating area opposite at 40 Duke Street.
We trust our clients concerns will be taken into account when processing the application and request that they be kept informed of any developments during the planning processing period.
Yours sincerely
LIONEL KELLY
Director.
