Planning Application Notes

PART 1

1) Retrospective Planning Permission for 2 Glamping Pods, Decking, Fences + Gardens (See Attached Plan BC-003 GP) (See Attached photos BC-005 through 10)

Planning was not applied for as we were informed initially by Department of planning the Glamping pods did not require planning permission as they were moveable units. (Jason Singleton March/April 2013 on a site visit.)

Since 2013 when glamping pods were brought to site they have become more and more popular with both visitors and locals alike. We have waiting lists for some weekends.

The pods have no services except electricity.

They have proved especially popular for visitors and locals with dogs, who struggle to find accommodation on island which allows dogs. Also families with young children, this can give the children an experience of camping without the potential problems of wind & rain.

PART 2

2) Retrospective Planning Permission for 15 Electrical Hook-up points See Attached photo BC-011 + BC-012

Apart from B1, B2, B3 & B4, initial bollards. All other bollards are removed at the end of the season and were not thought to require planning as they were temporary.

• B1 + B2 As per existing planning application
• B3 + B4 Retrospective planning required as they have been moved down hedgerow to allow vehicles to spread out further for safety
• B5, B6, B7, B8 + B9 Retrospective planning required.
• B10, B11, B12, B13, B14 + B15 Retrospective planning required. (See Note B + photo BC-011)
• B16, B17 + B18 Retrospective planning required (see Note B + photo BC-012)

Relevant Notes

A) Bollards which are not behind "temporary winter fence" are removed at the end of the season to avoid damage and put up at the beginning of the next. We have found when we graze stock in the field during winter, they get rubbed upon by the stock and get damaged.

B) The bollards in the centre of the field are mounted on Fence posts painted white (plus 3 additional posts B16, B17 + B18 without bollards), these also act as fire points. They are painted white to make them more visible at night, the LED lighting in the tops of the bollards have been deactivated to reduce light pollution.

Part 3

3) Address the issue of the use of Field 224314 (Hall's Field) as an overspill field during TT \& MGP. To address the issue of the use of field number 224314, I would like to make it clear that this field will no longer be used for any part of Ballamoar Campsite business. Ballamoar Campsite has no control over the field or how the field is used. The field gate from the campsite into field 224314 will be chained and locked during the season with signs advising this field as "Private Property". The only access permitted through this gateway during the camping season will be agricultural.
