In pursuance of powers granted under the above Act and Order the Department of Infrastructure determined to APPROVE a planning application by The Vicars And Wardens Of St German's Cathedral, Ref 14/00806/GB, for the landscaping works in Cathedral grounds relating to the erection of three sculptures (in association with PA 14/00807/CON) at St German's Cathedral Derby Road Peel Isle Of Man IM5 1HH subject to compliance with the following condition(s):
Reason: To comply with article 14 of the Town and Country Planning (Development Procedure) (No2) Order 2013 and to avoid the accumulation of unimplemented planning approvals.
Reason: In order to mitigate the potential impact of lighting on any foraging bats using the Cathedral grounds.
Drawing Numbers 0804G/01 Rev A 'Location Plan', 0804G/04 'Existing Site Plan', 0804G/05 'Proposed Site Plan', 'Architectural Illustration - Sheet 1', 'Architectural Illustration - Sheet 2', document entitled 'Cathedral Isle of Man - Proposed Sculptures July 2014' all date stamped 10 July 2014.

This decision was made by the Director of Planning and Building Control in accordance with the authority delegated to him in the name of the Minister and/or in the name and on behalf of the Department.
This permission refers only to that required under the Town and Country Planning (Development Procedure) (No 2) Order 2013.
Any appeal against this decision must be in accordance with Article 8 of the Order.
A valid appeal must be in writing, signed by the appellant, and submitted to the Department within 21 days of the date of this Notice. To further validate the appeal it must contain:

Please note that a copy of the Officer’s report which led to the decision, together with correspondence relative to the application, are available for inspection at the Department.
The proposed development must not be commenced until either;
Whichever is the later.
If no appeal is lodged within 21 days of the date of issue overleaf, and this decision becomes final, the Department’s public reference copy (counter copy) of the planning application may be collected by the applicant or their agent from Murray House.
Please note that if the counter copy of the application is not collected within THIRTY DAYS following the last date on which a planning appeal can be made it will be destroyed without further notice.
