Barn History Statement

Regarding the history of the Building etc., the Barn was a former Herring House and Ballaskeddan before conversion into one property in the 1960's, provided homes for the workers. During the conversion some of the beams from the herring houses were utilised. We don't have any information to suggest that the Herring House was ever used as residential accommodation and has been used in more recent years for storage. The Barn is situated in a desirable location on the Island and we feel that there would be considerable interest in this conversion. Conversion to a residential property will be in keeping with the neighbouring properties and enhance the appearance of the surrounding area.
