From: Julia Shipley To: Porter, Vanessa; Subject: Re: PA20/00880/B - Knock Rushen House Date: 21 October 2020 13:03:57 Caution: This email is from an external sender. Please take care before opening any attachments or following any links. Hi Vanessa, Thank you for your email. After speaking with the manager at Knock Rushen re. the parking situation please see the reply below. The Spa currently runs at a 10 person max. capacity. Two members of staff. Not everyone who comes to the spa drives their own car - most get taxis or share lifts. The guest house does not have it's own staff - one of the spa staff clean the guest house and set out the cold breakfast in the morning. There is also the situation when on Saturdays, people will come to the spa in the day, then be booked to stay overnight Again reducing the need for parking spaces. This information means parking for the spa could be reduced to 6 plus 2 for staff the other 8 parking places can be used for the guest house. Again most people staying at the guest house come as couples sharing cars, using public transport - 5 min walk away or getting taxis. Please can you send me the legislation that relates to parking for guesthouses etc as I can't find any info on this? I was under the impression that vehicle electric charging points were only needed on new builds, please clarify. The garage is used as storage. Kind regards Julia Shipley On Tue, Oct 6, 2020 at 10:52 AM Porter, Vanessa [email protected] wrote: Good Morning,
Further to the submission of your application, I am just checking the available car parking on the site and am looking at a traffic survey/reasoning for the amount of car parking spaces available and how many car parking spaces are required for the proposed use. There is currently on site a spa on site which would require at least 12 of the 16 spaces available, notwithstanding the car parking spaces required for any additional staff required for the guest house and the clients of the guesthouse themselves and the fact that the property is a distance from public transport.
Please could you also inform me on whether there is available storage for alternative means of transport and whether there is an electric car charging point and lastly I can see that you have put parking in front of the garage, does this mean that this is currently being used just as storage or something else.
Many Thanks Redacted Redacted
