Within Conservation Areas, the Department will permit only development which would preserve or enhance the character or appearance of the Area, and will ensure that the special features contributing to the character and quality are protected against inappropriate development. The officer assessed the new timber door's design and location in the middle of three existing windows on the gable elevation, finding it acceptable and reasonable. The proposal was determined to preserve and enhance the Conservation Area and individual property with no tension in interpretation.
Time limit
The development hereby approved shall be begun before the expiration of four years from the date of this decision notice. Reason: To comply with Article 26 of the Town and Country Planning (Development Procedure) Order 2019 and to avoid the accumulation of unimplemented planning approvals.
