Condition no 14 rev A:
Prior to commencement of the development, a Biodiversity Mitigation Scheme shall be submitted to and approved in writing by the Department. The scheme shall include details of bat and bird boxes, tree planting, and demolition timing to avoid nesting seasons. The approved scheme shall be implemented in full and retained as such thereafter.
Reason: to mitigate biodiversity loss and ensure compliance with Environment Policies 4 and 5.
This submission responds to the requirement of the condition:
• Please refer to attached drawing 3706/02 rev A – Elevations. This drawings shows 3 number sparrow terrace boxes under the eaves on the East elevation; and 2 flat bat boxes on the South elevation, and 2 flat bat boxes on the West Elevation. This is in accordance with the Recommendations section of Ecology Vannin’s bird and bat survey which was submitted as part of the application.
• Please refer to drawing 3706/09 – Proposed Hard and Soft Landscaping, Tree and Wildflower Planting Schedule and Maintenance and Aftercare Schedule.
• The demolition of the existing structures onsite is currently ongoing.
