RE: PA 25/10144/AIR - Information in relation to Condition 8 and 17 of 23/00744/B and AP24/0048 detailing phasing of the development and timetable relating to butterfly bank and hibernaculum, Land at Vollan Road, Ramsey
The Ecosystem Policy Team are content with the proposed timetable for the creation of the butterfly bank and hibernaculum as it would be appropriate to provide these once construction has been completed in order to ensure that they are not damaged. However, we do not see a reason that the biodiversity works in fields 131085 and 135140 could not be completed as part of an earlier phase, since planting needs time to grow to maturity and therefore provide more substantial ecological benefits. Because the works in fields 131085 and 135140 are seen as biodiversity enhancements, we are not objecting on the basis of this phasing but we would ask the applicant to take these comments into account, and if there is opportunity to implement these measures earlier, we would encourage them to take it.
