General Policy 6
Requires advertisements in towns/villages to be high design standard relating well to building/site, in keeping without detracting from area, and not causing highway hazards. Officer tested the large signage's scale/visibility against industrial character, finding it typical and screened from public view; door vinyls subordinate and acceptable. Partial industrial road views pose no safety risk.
General Policy 7
Prohibits advertisements not relating to the site/building. Officer noted signage directly associated with B&Q use and building, making it acceptable in principle.
Time limit
The advertisement(s) hereby granted consent shall be begun before the expiration of four years from the date of this notice. Reason: To avoid the accumulation of unimplemented advertisement consents.
