Permanent installation of a currently temporary, mobile Satellite Antenna Unit for broadcast uplinks such as the TT, situated next to the broadcast feed generating facility at Greenlight House. Diameter/width 2.6m, height 3.0m and operational length (with boom) 3.3m. Foundations are underground. The antenna mounting pole is bolted to the foundations and is designed to be removed, if required. The foundation is recessed below ground level and a manhole cover is used to protect them and make safe if the antenna is not installed. The permanent antenna mounting remains unchanged from the temporary mounting except for the time factor of the installation. When in use (e.g. during TT) there are temporary safety barriers erected around the antenna with appropriate signage. Note that the satellite antenna unit is mandatory to facilitate the TT broadcasts.
