Tel 01624 685950 Ellis Brown 12 Strathallan Crescent Queens Promenade Douglas IM2 4NR TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING ACT 1999 The Town and Country Planning (Development Procedure)(No 2) Order 2013 In pursuance of powers granted under the above Act, and subordinate Orders and Regulations, the Department of Environment, Food and Agriculture determined to APPROVE an application by Island Drainage & Groundworks Ltd, Ref 19/01354/C, for the Temporary change of use of agricultural building to storage for TT and MGP / Festival of Motorcycling course safety equipment at Field 310653 Bwoalliecowle Farm Staarvey Road Peel Isle Of Man and subject to compliance with the following condition(s) and notes (if any): 1. The use hereby approved shall be for a limited period up until 31/12/2021 only, after which the building may only be used for agricultural purposes. Reason: The development has only been found to be acceptable on a exceptional and short term basis because it meets a specific national need. 2. There shall be no external storage of safety equipment at the site unless otherwise agreed in writing by the Department. Reason: To protect the visual amenities of wider landscape. 3. All existing safety items currently being stored externally shall be removed or stored internally within 3 months of the date of the decision becoming final. Reason: In the interests of visual amenity. This approval relates to drawing numbers 19/2980/01, 19/2980/02 and 19/2980/03, and a supporting statement prepared by Ellis Brown all date stamped and received 29/11/2019. This decision has been made for the following reasons(s) Given the exceptional circumstances of the current proposal is it is considered on balance that the temporary storage of TT and Festival of Motorcycling up to 31/12/21 is considered to be acceptable. A further conditions restricting external storage is also considered necessary in safeguarding the wider countryside landscape. Date of Issue:

Tel 01624 685950 Guidance Note This decision was made by the Planning Committee in accordance with the authority delegated to it. All correspondence which led to the assessment and decision is available to view on the Government’s website (via Online Services www.gov.im/Viewapplications) or at the Department’s offices Murray House, Mount Havelock, Douglas. This decision refers only to that applied for under the Town and Country Planning Act 1999 and its subordinate legislation. Any appeal against this decision must be in accordance with the criteria stated in the Order, specifically, a valid appeal must be in writing, signed by the appellant, and submitted to the Department within 21 days of the date of this Notice. To further validate the appeal it must contain: · payment of a planning appeal fee as prescribed in the current Fees Order; · the reasons for making the appeal; and · an election to have the appeal conducted by means of an inquiry (a hearing) or by means of written representation. An appeal form and guidance notes are available from either Planning & Building Control, Tel 685950, or to download from the Department’s website www.gov.im/planningappeal If no valid appeal is lodged within 21 days of the date of issue overleaf, and this decision becomes final, the Department’s public reference copy (counter copy) of the planning application may be collected by the applicant or their agent from Murray House. Please note that if the counter copy of the application is not collected within THIRTY DAYS following the last date on which a planning appeal can be made it will be destroyed without further notice.
