This site has been the subject of Planning Applications 15/0132/C, 16/00912/B & 19/00238/B. Following the granting (on appeal) by the Planning Committee in 2019 to allow 120 tents on the site it was agreed that a new Application would be submitted for the 2020 TT onwards. This Application is for 120 tents on an increased area of the rugby pitches (excluding the cricket 'square'). The number of tents will allow for staff tents to supervise the site 24/7 and also allow for tents to be prepared for changeover days. Although max occupancy of each tent is 4 persons such occupancy is generally only achieved by family groups. The Clubhouse will provide showering/toilet facilities and hot food and bar facilities will be available. Experience has shown that the current facilities including the Car Park are adequate for the intended purpose. The application is for the use of the site from the day before first practice until the day after the last race with five days either side being allowed for erection and dismantling of the site.
