Highways Comments: Given the fact that there appears to be no objections there are still concerns from highways in relation to the potential parking demand in future years. Further evidence is required in the form of more detailed parking surveys providing comfort that parking issues would not arise from the peak in demand from 120 pitches.

Nevertheless, the provision of camping facilities during a major road race event such as the TT is a key part of future income for Sports and Leisure Clubs on the Isle of Man.

It is therefore suggested the applicant is given a 3 year temporary permission which will allow the Club to proceed but will also allow a more detailed car parking profile to be developed. Such information would prove useful in determining an application for a more long term permission.

Should you be mindful to approve this application please attach the same conditions as per 19/00238/B in addition to a 3 year time constraint.
