With reference to the above mentioned application, please be advised that there is a 2 inch AC main passing through the land, as noted on the attached plan. On inspecting the site plan it would appear that part of the proposed works will be built over the water main.

We are not, at present, writing to object to the application but rather to request that, in the event that the application is approved, Manx Utilities should be contacted to discuss a method of location of the water mains and, if necessary, their diversion before construction commences.

Please note that the position of the water mains are shown as accurately as possible but cannot be guaranteed and must be regarded as approximate only. Please also be aware that there may also be buried items and/or mains for which no records exist and therefore are not indicated on the plan.

Notes: In the event of trial holes or other works being required, in order to locate and then subsequently protect or divert the water mains, all associated costs would be the responsibility of owner(s)/applicant(s).
